Short films – Betty Boops, Flip the Frog, Strawberry Shortcake

In order not to unnecessarily pump up the number of notes, we decided to describe three types of short films collectively in one text. These are shorts with Betty Boops (two animations), Flip the Frog (three animations) and TV short specials from the Strawberry Shortcake universe (one of the characters in this universe is called Apple Dumplin and has a pet, a turtle known as Tea Time Turtle, they appear in 3 shorts).

Betty Boops
Is My Palm Read (Year: 1933)
Betty puts her clothes on a rock, which turns out to be a turtle – he gets up and walks away with her clothes.

Betty in Blunderland (Year: 1934)
As you can guess from the title, this animation refers to Alice in Wonderland. And if so, so of course Mock Turtle is in it, for two scenes, one in which he is sitting with a gryphon and one in which, with many other characters, he is falling. In addition, there is also another turtle, unusual, because a machine gun slides out of his shell, operated by yet another small turtle. We present the screens in two versions, black and white and color.

Betty Boop and Little Jimmy (Year: 1936)
The turtle appears in this animation in a short scene, as a turtle, and at the same time, as a scale on which the main character checks her weight.

Flip the Frog
Fiddlesticks (Year: 1930)
The main character is Flip the Frog. At one point, he jumps and stands on the shell of a turtle in the water. However, turtle did not like that very much, and he launched the frog into the air, using a mechanism resembling a catapult in the shell.

Flying Fists (Year: 1930)
The whole animation is full of a turtle, which is competing in a boxing match (training is also shown) with the character of Flip.

The Music Lesson (Year: 1932)
The turtle only appears in one short scene in this animation, while underwater, he bites the tail of a dog tied to the piano.

Strawberry Shortcake
Strawberry Shortcake: Pets on Parade (Year: 1982)
Quite abundant in the characters Apple Dumplin and Tea Time Turtle, they appear in several different scenes.

Strawberry Shortcake: Housewarming Surprise (Year: 1983)
Apple Dumplin and Tea Time Turtle can be seen in the house of the main character, the turtle itself also appears one more time later, in one short scene.

Strawberry Shortcake Meets the Berrykins (Year: 1985)
The turtle first appears for a second with the owner standing on it, then he has one longer scene in which he is turned over on its back.
