Why in Database: In this short, twelve-episode (plus one bonus episode, added on DVD, it takes place after the complete story, which is told in twelve episodes) anime, there are two turtle characters! The first is Matsumoto, who falls into the pattern of the turtle-sage, an ancient creature who understands what powers the heroines play with and serves as a mentor to them. Halfway through, his daughter Ichikawa also appears, but she cannot speak “human language” like her father does.
Matsumoto appears in the form of a stone sculpture in the first episode, personally/physically in all episodes starting from the second, while his daughter, Ichikawa, appears from, starting from her debut in Episode 6, in all subsequent episodes except the ninth.
