Why in Database: You can see the turtle for the first time at the beginning, the main character picks it up and releases it right away. Moments later, the same turtle appears in a glass ball as a result of a magic trick presented by a street illusionist. In a more fantastic form, the protagonist later meets a huge turtle called Socrates, but only its shell is visible. Also, instead of “going outside” his shell, he turns into a human.

Here and there you can also see a slightly reworked version, that have shell like him but with the head of a blonde-haired girl.
