Why in Database: In this series from the Star Wars universe there is a new, very turtle species called Chelidae (which is also an “earthly” name for snake-necked turtles (a family from the suborder of the box-necked)). They appearance can be seen on the screenshots, but the behavior is also stereotypically shown as turtle-like they are rather slow. They play the role of mechanics-supervisors of the platform/station where the action of the series takes place.
So far, they’ve appeared in Episode Six, The Children from Tehar, which was their debut, and they had plenty of scenes. In Episode 9, The Platform Classic, they only appears in one short scene. They also appeared in Episode Twelve, Bibo, where the protagonists once again come into the “back room” of the station for a longer scene, and in Episode 16, The New Trooper, under similar circumstances. Chelidae also have a large role in Descent and a minor (they just “appear”) in the last two episodes of Season 1, No Escape: Part 1 and No Escape: Part 2.
In season two, Chelidae appear in small roles in episodes one, Into the Unknown, fourteenth, The Mutiny and the nineteenth and final one – The Escape. Also, in episode five, The Engineer, they have a little bigger role.
