Why in Database: Turtle elements were found in two episodes of this series.

In The Night Watch (season 11, episode 5) one of the characters tells the baby not to cry because Mr. Turtle will be sad, referring to the little stuffed turtle he just gave to the baby. You can see this toy in two scenes.

Don’t Cry. You’re gonna make Mr. Turtle sad.

In the episode Future Perfect (season 11, episode 10) it is mentioned in the dialogue that the deceased person has traces of unusual DNA in his blood, including turtles. Later turtles are mentioned again when the heroes come to what the killer actually wants to achieve – he is looking for an immortality serum, hence his area of interest are long-lived animals.

– And we got the results of the other DNA samples and the surprises keep coming. Found traces of Mesoglea and Testudinata keratin.
– Which is?
– Jellyfish and turtle. George Henning had animal DNA in his system.

– But think about it. Jellyfish, turtles, sea urchin, and now scarlet macaw. What do they all have in common?
– A long lifespan.
– Exactly. Longer than a human’s.
– So it means the unsub may not be focused on a specific disease, but longevity.
