Turtonator is a turtle Pokemon that debuted with the seventh generation and the Alola region. Kiawe is one of the main characters in the Sun & Moon series. The main character, Ash does not wander the world like in the previous series, but goes to the Poke-School in the Alola region, where other characters attend, so the whole group can be called the main heroes. Kiawe is the type of trainer interested in fire, when we meet him in the first episode, we first see his Charizard, not much later he uses his Turtonator in the fight. So far, the series (and movies) has not shown any other Turtonator than the one trained by Kiawe.
This turtonator has appeared in a huge number of episodes, perhaps even more than Ash’s Squirtle! A lot of these appearances are more or less “being in the background”, but there are also episodes in which he has a greater role.
