Why in Database: As part of the activities at the camp, the children must choose some kind of animal-spirit guide and prepare an appropriate disguise. The main character and her friend choose the Galapagos turtles, stating that they are wise, live a long time and that although it may take them a long time, they always get where they want. And that no matter how far they travel, they are never far from home. Later in the film, both protagonists are also called turtles by the caregiver.
