Why in Database: Crash is an interesting character, he was created as… the work of another comic character.
He is a member of Just Lotta Animals (JLA), drawn by a certain Roger Rodney Rabbit, the main and title character of the series “Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew!”. The first few of his appearances are the thoughts of the aforementioned artist who thinks about the comics he creates. The situation changes in issue #14 when the heroes from JLA arrive to the Captain Carrot’s universe and help him and his companions. Crash naturally paired during action with Fastback, because they are both super fast turtles.
To make it even more interesting, Crush, when seeing Fastback, mentions that he resembles Terrific Whatzit, about which he read comics in his youth. This character is Fastback’s uncle, which makes a certain paradox, characters from the Fastback universe are the heroes of Crash’s comic books, while Crash is the hero of comic books created by Captain Carrot, from Fastback universe.
