Why in Database: Turtles appear in this series in a large number of episodes – in total in this entry we describe twenty episodes, although sometimes this participation is symbolic. The most important and only named one is Rainbow Dash’s pet, Tank, who makes his debut in the second season. He appears in fifteen episodes, in twelve in person, in two in the form of a photo/memory, and once in the form of slippers worn by Rainbow Dash. Besides him, in five episodes you can see other, nameless turtles living “in the wild”. Below is a detailed breakdown by seasons and a description of the turtle content of each episode. The episodes with Tank have a (T) added to the title.

Season 1
05 – Griffon the Brush Off – Fluttershy notices a turtle by the water’s edge, there is also another one, artificial, a joke tool of Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash. Hwever, they come to the conclusion that Fluttershy is too sensitive and abandon the joke idea.
11 – Winter Wrap Up – In one scene you can see turtles swimming on the water.
Season 2
07 – May the Best Pet Win! (T) – Tank makes his debut, an episode full of scenes with him.
Season 3
03 – Too Many Pinkie Pies (T) – Tank, but he is only visible in one scene, in a tree trunk.
11 – Just for Sidekicks (T) – In the episode we heva a lot of scenes with all pets of the main characters, so there is lot of Tank as well.
12 – Games Ponies Play (T) – The twin episode to the above one, the former showed what was happening with the animals, while this one shows the ponies at the same time. Tank is seen in two scenes in the same situations as above.
13 – Magical Mystery Cure (T) – Tank is here… in one frame. Literally, when Rainbow Dash life “passes before her eyes”, for a split second you can see the memory of Tank.
Season 4
12 – Pinkie Pride (T) – Tank is in one scene in the background, you can see him (not very clearly, but he is absolutely recognizable) flying.
14 – Filli Vanilli – There is a turtle in one scene, he is quite similar to Tank, but almost certainly it’s a different turtle .
18 – Maud Pie (T) – During a picnic by the lake, Tank is visible, mostly flying, but he is also seen on the ground, eating.
21 – Testing Testing 1, 2, 3 (T) – Tank is visible in one scene, playing in a kind of theater.
Season 5
05 – Tanks for the Memories (T) – Episode about Tank, Rainbow Dash struggles to come to terms with the fact that winter is coming, which means hibernation for him.
13 – Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep? (T) – In one short scene you can see Rainbow Dash bathing Tank.
23 – The Hooffields and McColts – On the farm where part of the action of the episode takes place, in one scene you can see a turtle escaping from the fire.
Season 6
10 – Applejack’s “Day” Off (T) – There is just a reference to Tank – in form of the slippers Rainbow Dash is wearing.
Season 7
04 – Rock Solid Friendship (T) – Tank is shown in one short scene, Pinkie Pie tries to convince the interlocutor that it is an exceptionally nice rock.
05 – Fluttershy Leans In (T) – Tank can be seen in the background in the animal clinic.
07 – Parental Glideance (T) – In this episode we see Rainbow Dash’s former (children’s) room in which there is a poster with a turtle on the wall, also in the photo in the journal/notebook kept by the heroine of the episode, about Rainbow. You can see a photo of her with Tank.
23 – Secrets and Pies (T) – Tank appears in this episode, first in the photo in his patient card, then his x-ray is shown as well, later in the episode we can also see how his lair at Rainbow Dash looks like.
