Dlaczego w bazie: W czwartym odcinku sezonu czwartego (Episode Four) w jednym dialogu pojawia się nawiązanie do historii Żółwia i Zająca.

Sezon piąty jest najbardziej żółwi. W odcinku pierwszym oraz odcinkach 4-7 pojawia się „postać” żółwia, przez prawie cały czas jest to po prostu zwykły żółw, z narracji dowiadujemy się jednak, że tak naprawdę to jest to człowiek zmieniony w żółwia w wyniku burzy, istotnego dla serialu wydarzenia które dało różnym ludziom bardzo różne „moce”. We wspomnianym siódmym odcinku pojawia się motyw pozwalający odwrócić działanie burzy, dzięki czemu potwierdza się, że faktycznie, jest to człowiek. Jedna z głównych bohaterek zakochuje się w tymże żółwiu, nazywanym Mark, przewija się on więc w jej towarzystwie w wielu scenach, jest też wspominany w wielu rozmowach, na przykład w takiej w której chce ona przekonać inną postać do „zbliżenia się” z żółwiem bo w ten sposób pozbawia on innych ich mocy.

S05E04 (Episode Four):

– Why is there a turtle by the biscuits?
