Why in Database: In 2014 we saw the premiere of a (still continued) series about one of the heroes of DC comics, Flash (also known as “the fastest man alive” and under similar terms).
In the tenth episode of the first season (Revenge of the Rogues) there is a stuffed turtle that once belonged to one of the characters, we learn that it was called Mcsnurtle the turtle, which sounds like a reference to the comic character with that same name.
– Aw. Mcsnurtle the turtle. How you been? When did you stop sleeping with this? It was your favorite.
– He was. But if I remember correctly, you took him away from me after I broke your Duke Ellington: Live at the Blue Note vinyl.
– Oh, yeah. You can have him back now.
As part of his rich comic book history, Flash has repeatedly stumbled against an opponent/opponents nicknamed Turtle, which we describe in an article about him. The creators of the tv series also decided to use this concept and it became the axis of the tenth episode of the second season of the series (Potential Energy ). In this version, Turtle has super powers that allow him to slow down (even stop) everyone around, but he is obviously (it’s hardly a spoiler) captured by Flash. Aside from his power/nickname, there is nothing turtle about this character (comic book characters usually looked very turtle-like).
In season three, in episode 10 (Borrowing Problems from the Future in the final scene, Flash receives a gift, turtle named
McSnurtle.
In Season Six, Episode 14 (Death of the Speed Force) appears Frida Novikov who has similar time-stopping powers to the Turtle described above. She is also called Turtle 2.0. Like in previous case, apart from the name given to her, there is nothing especially turtle about her. We know her name from the dialogues and from the “card” with her.

Dlaczego w bazie: W 2014 swą premierę miał (wciąż kontynuowany) serial o jednym z bohaterów komiksów DC, Flashu, znanym też jako “najszybszy żyjący człowiek” i pod podobnymi określeniami.
W odcinku dziesiątym sezonu pierwszego (Revenge of the Rogues) pojawia się pluszowy żółw należacy kiedyś do jednej z bohaterek, dowiadujemy się, że nazywał się on Mcsnurtle the turtle, co brzmi jak nawiązanie do tak samo się zwącej postaci komiksowej.

W ramach swej bogatej komiksowej historii Flash wielokrotnie potykał się z przeciwnikiem/przeciwnikami o pseudonimie Turtle, żółw, co opisujemy w stosownym rozbudowanym artykule, twórcy serialu także postanowili sięgnąć po ten koncept i stał się on osią dziesiątego odcinka drugiego sezonu serialu (Potential Energy). W tej wersji Turtle dysponuje super mocami które pozwalają mu wszystkich wokół spowalniać (wręcz zatrzymywać), zostaje jednak oczywiście (co nie jest chyba żadnym spojlerem) schwytany przez Flasha. Poza jego mocą/przydomkiem, nie ma w tej postaci nic żółwiego (postacie komiksowe wyglądały zazwyczaj bardzo żółwio).
W sezonie trzecim, w odcinku 10 (Borrowing Problems from the Future w końcowej scenie Flash dostaje w prezencie żółwia o imieniu
McSnurtle.
W szóstym sezonie, w odcinku 14 (Death of the Speed Force) pojawia się postać Fridy Novikov, która ma podobne moce związane z zatrzymywaniem czasu jak opisany wyżej Turtle. Zostaje zresztą nazwana per Turtle 2.0. Podobnie jak tamten, poza nadanym jej imieniem, nie ma w sobie nic specjalnie żółwiego. Imie znamy z dialogów i z “karty” z nią.
