Why in Database: As part of the first three seasons of Power Rangers, bearing the collective title “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers”, turtles were found in 11 episodes , in four different forms. The first is Shellshock, the monster of “the bad guys” appearing in two episodes, one cameo of the most ordinary turtle. Appearing in as many as 6 episodes is Tor the Shuttlezord, one of the zords used by PR, and then again “Normal” turtle, but in a more symbolic form. Below is a detailed list:

Season One:
00 Day Of The Dumpster – Episode zero, a kind of pilot, very different from the actual first episode. The differences that can be noticed include the fact that when one of the heroes, Zack, when hears explanations of who are Zoltan (because that is what Zordon is called here) and Alpha, acknowledges it by saying that he himself is a ninja turtle (“And I’m a Ninja Turtle”).
22 The Trouble with Shellshock – “The monster of the episode” is a turtle, Shellshock which is a turtle with accessories. High beam lights stick out of its shell (green light gives “explosive” effect on enemies, red one stops them). He is also equipped with a cannon (which appears in place of the head) and can pull a baseball bat from its shell. After it is enlarged, it says “Wait ’till these teenage mutants see what a full-grown turtle can do.”, Which is a reference to Ninja Turtles.
28 Island of Illusion, Part 1 – In the form of a brief illusion, Shellshock appears among several other monsters.
29 Island of Illusion, Part 2 – Two characters, Bulk and Skull, are shown as angels (the result of Rita’s spell-illusion cast on one of the warriors, Kimberly), they help a real turtle.

Season Two:
25 (85) A Monster of Global Proportions – Tor the Shuttlezord makes its debut, it is an additional, turtle-based zord, extremely durable. He helps the main zord in the fight, he also sometimes lands on his back (and is then helpless, like a stereotypical turtle).
27 (87): The Power Transfer Part 1 – Tor takes part in the action, protects the red ranger from being trampled by Serpentera, a giant zord of “bad guys”.
28 (88): The Power Transfer Part 2 – Also used in combat.
29 (89): Goldar’s Vice-Versa – Typically, used in combat.
32 (92): Rocky Just Wants to Have Fun – Serpentera again tries to crush Tor, again, unsuccessfully.
35 (95): Scavenger Hunt – Tor appears, it is the last episode where he can be seen (but he is not destroyed or anything like that).
49 (109) Episode: Storybook Rangers: Part 2 – When some of the characters are “trapped in the book”, in one of the scenes is shown how they are followed by a cartoon turtle in the style of a typical “picture book”.
