Why in Database: Turtles appear symbolically here, and in one dialogue. At the very beginning, you can see the Tybee Island trademark with a large turtle next to it. This fact is commented by the main child heroine, drawing her mother’s attention to the figure. The second appearance is symbolical – the heroines live in a house that has pillows with turtle-patterned pillowcases – you can see them in several scenes in the film.
