Gamera (comics)

Why in Database: Gamera is an enormous turtle, a hero of japanese Kaiju movies – a whole series was made about him, and the character is discussed in more detail here.
This article focuses on the comic/manga aspect of Gamera’s presence in culture.

Gamera: Guardian of the Universe # 01 : Each of the four issues is full of Gamera, so we won’t repeat that every time. Contrary to the title, the comic is not an adaptation of the same-named movie released in 1995, but its continuation, in addition to (obviously) the title turtle, the human heroes known from the film also returns here.

Dr. Slump #01: Gamera appears here a bit of Easter Egg, in one of the stories we see her at the very beginning with a short note. Later, the heroine wants to get Gamera, and she gets a turtle on a string. In her mind, she recalls Gamera and how she remembers her. The ordinary turtle itself appears in many frames of this story.

Gamera vs. Barugon, Gamera vs. Phoenix, Manga Boys Special Edition: Gamera, Gamera 2006: Hard Link: We found out about these four manga with Gamera, but for now, we didn’t manage to get them. Howewer, it can be assumed that in each of those manga that have a Gamera in title, there is a lot of Gamera in the story.
