Season two, episode fifteen (Cooter) – turtle is mentioned in the dialogue, one character says that part of his nickname, cooter, he got because he looks like a turtle (and the word is the name of one species of turtle). In another scene, on the door behind one of the characters, you can see a drawing of a turtle.

– He gave you two nicknames?
– “Cooter” because I look like a turtle and “berger” because he saw me eating a hamburger one time.

Season four, episode six (Sun Tea) – mentioned in the dialogue, comparison to a turtle that has lost its shell.

– Don’t talk to me like that. You look like a turtle who lost its shell.

Season five, episode six (Gentleman’s Intermission) – A turtle is mentioned during the end credits, a character pretending to be someone else says she saw a turtle.

– Hi, I’m Daphne Donaghy. I saw a turtle!

Season five, episode thirteen (Qué Sorpresa!) – a turtle is mentioned.

– One time, I saw a turtle…

Season six, episode three (Idiots Are People Three!) – A verbal reference to the Entourage series is made and the name/ nickname of one of the characters is chanted.

– Because of you, there may be an entourage movie.
– Hug it off, ma’am!
– Turtle, turtle, turtle!

Season six, episode five (Today You Are a Man No) – there is a reference to the Wonder Pets series and the turtle from this show.

– You watch the Wonder Pets on Nick Jr.? I represent the turtle that tuck is based on.

Season six, episode nine (Leap Day) – a turtle is mentioned in the dialogue.

– Thad’s been in his little nerd world for so long and now he’s peeping out of his shell like a… um, oh, what’s that animal? You know, the one that crosses so slowly across the road and then you swerve to make sure you hit it and then a car coming the other way swerves to avoid you and goes off a cliff. And then that night you and your companion have the greatest sex of your lives because you’re both sharing a secret.
– It’s a turtle, Jenna.
– Yes, he’s a turtle. And he’s coming out of his shell for the first time. And when he does, he’s gonna see this.

Season seven, episode three (Stride of Pride) – Squirtle, one of the Turtle Pokemon is mentioned.

I have to break it off with a woman I’m seeing. I found out I’m just an aging Squirtle in her Pokemon.

Season seven, episode twelve (Hogcock!) – “Turtle meat” is mentioned and what appears to be a turtle shell is visible.

– Well, can I get you anything… Chickpeas, moonshine, turtle meat? I’m good.

Why in Database: We have located various turtles elements in six episodes of this series:
The eighteenth episode of the first season (Sweet Charity) features turtles in the form of chocolate sweets that one of the characters says that she received them from Leonardo DiCaprio You can see them on the screenshots.

– And who sent you the turtles?

– A pleasure to meet you. Turtle?

– Look, I fell for it to. I mean who wouldn’t… Until the DiCaprio turtles.

The seventh episode of the fourth season (Prelude to a Kiss) mentions a turtle being the mascot of the school/rival team for the one in which Sabrina’s boyfriend plays. In addition to the text layer, the animal can also be seen in the episode and on the screenshots.

– I can’t. Some of the guys are gonna kidnap Eastbridge’s mascot. They need me along.
– Why? How many people does it take to steal a turtle?
– A heavily guarded turtle.

Season 4 Episode 12 (Sabrina, Nipping at Your Nose) features Turtle-dove, which we wouldn’t normally include, but this is one of the cases where the creators “play” with that name , so the visualization of this animal are turtles with attached bird wings, you can see them well on the screenshots.

Look at these two turtle-doves. They’re just turtles with wings stapled on. Since when did the eighty-nine cents store start selling cheap and shoddy merchandise?

The second episode of the fifth season (Double Time) has only a verbal mention, the turtle is used in the context of slowness, because spells are used that greatly accelerate or slow down the enchanted persons. The slowdown effect is described with reference to turtles.

Have you done anything between Road Runner and Nurtle the Turtle?

The sixteenth episode of the sixth season (Sabrina and the Kiss) has a verbal reference, the name of the book is Yertle the Turtle.

– Hilda, I’m so proud of you. Who would have thought my sister would direct the charity event for the benefit of Westbridge Library.
– Not me, considering that the last book she read was “Yertle the Turtle”.

The seventh episode of the seventh season (Witch Way Out) has a likely reference in the text layer, it says “Venus on a half-shell” which could be considered a reference to Ninja Turtles, which are sometimes called “heroes in the half shell”, and Venus is the name of one of the turtle characters in the franchise, the fifth turtle member of the core group in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – The Next Mutation.

Venus on a half-shell.

The first three mentions are exchanges between Yo-Yo (who has super power – super speed) and Mack, once about his turtle speed, three times she calls him “Turtle Man”. The last case is a reference to Blade Runner, Coulson uses the familiar overturned turtle test to interrogate one lady.

Season three, episode twenty one – Absolution.

– Oh, this isn’t about superspeed. This is about your turtle speed.

– Oh, turtle-man wishes for me to hurry.

– You got it, Turtle Man.

Season five, episode nine – Best Laid Plans.

Season seven, episode three – Alien Commies from the Future!

And now that sucker’s roasting in the sun, that poor, innocent turtle. Just trying to turn itself over. But it can’t, not without your help. But you’re not helping. Why?
– Why would you even think I would do such a thing?
– Oh. Oh, no… I didn’t mean…
– What kind of a sick, sick man are you?
– Oh, no, no, no. It’s okay. You passed.

Genre: Comedy, Drama,
Country: USA

Why in Database: We found turtle elements in 12 episodes of this series, all of them are in the dialogue layer and a large part concerns the character of doctor Turk who is still referred to by one of the characters as “Turtle head”.

In the first episode of the second season (My Overkill) there is a large piece of text that alludes to the story the Tortoise and the Hare.

– You know, Bob, I’ve been thinking about all the times that you’ve manipulated me and toyed with me, and, well, I can’t help but recall that children’s fable about the race between the tortoise and the pain-in-the-ass chief of medicine that everybody hates. You see, Bob, the pain-in-the-ass chief of medicine that everybody hates kept running out in front of the tortoise and taunting him; but right at the end – gosh, I’m sure you remember what happened, Bob – the tortoise bit clean-through the chief of medicine’s calf muscle, dragged him to the ground, where he and all the other turtles devoured him alive , right there on the racetrack. It’s a … disturbing children’s book, Bob, I know, but it’s one that stuck with me, nonetheless.

In the twelfth episode of the second season (My New Old Friend) there is a mention of Turtle Wax, the owner of the car tells the people sitting on his vehicle to get off it, unless their pants are made from Turtle Wax.

– I’m just Jim Dandy. Now, unless your pants are made out of Turtle Wax, I suggest you boys get your asses off of Bessy.

In the tenth episode of season three (My Rule of Thumb) the term “turtle-head(ed)” appear.

Ohhh, hey Dr. Turk, you old turtle-headed pain in the ass.

In the thirteenth episode of the third season (My Porcelain God) this term is used again.

Oh, that’s just dandy. I got a billion patients and no rooms, and I got Newbie pestering me for advice on how to be the best woman at Turtlehead’s wedding, and I got a resident who can’t do a simple procedure even though she learned it the first week she was here.

In season four, episode sixteen (My Quarantine), Turk is once again referred to as the Turtle head.

I’m talking legitimate doctors, turtle head.

Happy Together by The Turtles appears in the tenth episode of season five (Her Story II) .
In the eighteenth episode of season five (My New Suit) there is a mention that one character’s son, Jack, hit a turtle in the face.

– Ugh. And gotta go down to Jack’s preschool. Apparently Seymour was teasing him, so he punched him in the face.
– Do Seymour’s parents have to go down there?
– I doubt it. They’re turtles.

In the twenty-sixth episode of the fifth season (My Urologist) there is a mention of “turtle’s wink”.

– Anyway, I hope you don’t mind your new middle initial.
– I don’t mind it a turtle’s wink.

In the ninth episode of season six (My Perspective), the name Turtlehead is used again as a name for Dr. Turk.

– Okay, in here we have Mrs Frank, who is in renal failure, and over here we have Dr Turtlehead, who is suffering from a severe case of the “sulkies.”

In the fifteenth episode of season eight (My Soul on Fire: Part 2) there is a mention of the use of a sea turtle as the “person” chosen to carry wedding rings.

– Todd, you are in charge of locating a Justice of the Peace … and finding a sea turtle to serve as a ring bearer.

Turtles are mentioned in the second episode of season nine (Our Drunk Friend).

– Up on your island all chillin ‘with turtles …

In the thirteenth episode of the ninth season (Our Thanks) there are two mentions in the dialogues, first there is a reference to the character of Turtle from the series Entourage, and later, during the end credits, sea turtles are mentioned.

– Surgery is long, tedious and boring.
– I get it. Like episodes of Entourage that revolve around Turtle.

My daughters and I, we love the sea turtles. They’re slow in the body, but fast in the mind, right?
