Title: Blacksad

Why in Database: Blacksad is an interesting, five (so far) volume story that takes place in the animal-human world, there are no humans there, but the society we see could be described as completely human. We only have a variety of animals instead of humans, the title Blacksad is a cat, his “friend” is a weasel and so on – but they are all very humanoid.
Somewhere Within the Shadows: Already in the first volume you can see a turtle-like character, which can be seen on the picture below.
Red Soul: In the third volume, we can see the character who is a turtle and plays a greater role. His name is Hewitt Mandeline and Blacksad works as his bodyguard. We see them together on the first six pages, then they both goes their own way, so we don’t see any more of Hewitt.
