Why in Database: Turtles appear in this movie in two versions. The first is a Ninja Turtles pillow that the main character has at the very beginning, when she is portrayed as a child (main action of the film takes place later when she is an adult).
The second form appears throughout the rest of the film – the band in which the main characters play is called Platinum Turtle and is mentioned in several dialogues, in the opening part of the film concert and meeting with the band after the concert are shown, then you can see a lot of different gadgets with the band logo – a turtle. In addition, one of the characters wears the band’s t-shirt throughout the film, also with the turtle symbol, so it extends the turtle presence for the entire movie.
