The first of the Turtle-Pokemon that Ash has trained in his long history, and the first turtle Pokémon that has appeared on the screen for a longer time (because the first time when Squirtle was shown was in the very first episode, in Ash’s mind). When we first see him on screen, he is the leader of a group of troublemakers called Squirtle Squad, they are Squirtle which have been abandoned by their trainers. A characteristic feature of the entire team are glasses, the leader (who joined Ash) wears a slightly triangular shape that forms an asymmetrical figure with 6 sides, and the other four turtles have glasses with round lenses. After joining Ash’s team, he helped him in significant fights more than once, but later, with Ash’s consent and encouragement, he rejoined the Squirtle Squad, which had problems with self-organization without their leader. However, the officer Jenny was ready to deliver Ash’s Squirtle whenever Ash needed it. What is not typical is fact, that wile Ash’s other Pokémon ended up on Professor Oak’s farm, Squirtle found his home elsewhere.
